The Community Hall was constructed by the community using funds raised by the community and through the then Yarrowlumla Shire Council using developer contributions under section 94 of the Local Government Act.

The construction of the Hall was supervised by Pat Summerville who ensured that as many residents contributed. Councillor Bob Summerville, Pat's husband, opened the Hall on Australia Day 1993. The hall is available for hire. See the Hall Hire page.

The Children's Playground was created under the guidance of the Stoney Creek Playgroup. Through fund raising, a NSW Sport & Recreation Grant and a donation from the Community Association, the facilities were upgraded in 2003, replacing the original treated pine materials. Much of the work was undertaken by a local builder, Peter Cook, who donated a lot of time to the project. Peter died in a motorcycle accident near Bungendore shortly before completing the work. The shelter bears a plaque commemorating Peter's contribution.

All hires must comply with the Community Hall Policy

The dressage arena was constructed by the Primrose Valley Pony Club prior to the hall's construction. The plantings for a windbreak along the western boundary that had been undertaken by the Pony Club were extended along the Captains Flat Road and the driveway to the neighbouring property after the hall's completion.nbsp; The driveway that was used during construction was the neighbours' driveway, and they graciously donated that section of their property to the community to ensure long-term access to the hall and fireshed. That driveway, now named Gathering Place, was upgraded and sealed in 1995.

All parties must be registered with; NSW Police Party Registration (click here)

The hall is not available for 16th, 18th or 21st birthday parties, end-of-school functions or youth farewell parties.
